HUSSEIN MOHAMED HUSSEIN

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Hussein Mohamed Hussein is the founder of Iimaan Relief and Development Organization (IRDO). Hussein has over 21 years of experience in Humanitarian Work and his motivation for the humanitarian work is driven by a myriad of challenges attributed to the civil war that broke in 1991 in Somalia that led into the collapse of the government.

Hussein Mohamed worked in the area of community reconciliation for over 18 years building peaceful coexistence among the Somali clans/communities.

As an Executive Director, Hussein is also the Secretary to the Board. Hussein has a rich experience working with companies and parastatal as an administrator but also with a background of Business Administration.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Indian Ocean University –Somalia.

Romano Iluku

ROMANO ILUKU

PROGRAM DIRECTOR

Romano Iluku is the Programs Director at IRDO. He is passionate about empowerment and transformation. Romano has over 12 years of work experience with nongovernmental organizations in the area of Community Work, Peace Building, Trauma Consciousness and Resilience. Romano has engaged with various community groups extending from the refugees at Dadaab Refugee Camp in Kenya, to IDPs in Somalia, Prisons and Victims of violent extremism. As a consultant, Romano worked with American Friends Service Committee (AFSC) where he offered Creative Conflict Management and Transformation Training; Trauma Mindfulness, Consciousness and Resilience in Somalia, South and Northern Sudan. His other notable engagements include; Co-Secretary at the Coordinating Committee for Alternatives to Violence Project International (AVP International); Volunteer Local Coordinator with Spirit in Action International; An alumnus, trainer and trainee at CAUX Peace & Leadership Program (CPLP) Initiatives of Change Switzerland 2018 (IofC), a graduate of the Mandela Mile Leadership Program 2020 and lastly an alumnus for Oaks & Crown Leadership Program. Romano holds Bachelors of Arts Degree in Development Studies – Project Management Option, Diploma in International Relations and Diplomacy at The Management University of Africa (MUA) and Diploma in Community Development that shows his diverse educational background.

JACK FRANCIS ONYANGO

FINANCE MANAGER

Jack Francis Onyango oversee the finance and administration portfolios at IRDO.
Jack has over ten years of demonstrated experience in accounting and administration, financial management reporting and financial systems setup, human resources and organization policy formulation for not-for-profit organizations.

He is equally skilled in internal and external auditing. Jack has headed in the finance and administration portfolio at Alternatives to Violence (Kenya) Trust, Life in Abundance, International Aid Services, CERELPA among others. Jack holds MBA and Bachelor’s degrees in Finance.

He is Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK).

Janet Kosgei

An Accountant

As an official to IRDO, Janet Kosgei works as an accountant in the Department of Finance for IRDO. She has over 10 years of working experience both in humanitarian, education and the private sector. She has a background in finance, administration, human resource, procurement, logistics and open-minded with proven communication and organization skills.
Academically, she is a graduate from the University of Nairobi (UON) with a bachelor’s degree in finance. She is also a nearly qualified Certified Public Accountant currently at part or section
Janet’s’ previous work experience in the area of finance and admin include; ICON International, GMC, Absa, TAK, ICCO among others. She is therefore proven a record of achievement dealing with Financial Management, Customer Service, Administrative Management, and Program/Project concepts, practices, office procedures, and an excellent orientation specialist.
